Exposition post office machine
postmark from the Panama-Pacific Exposition of San Francisco;
International machine. Virtually all strikes of this marking are
on postcard, unfortunately this cover uses a 2 cent Washington
definitive instead of one of the exposition commemoratives.
Apparently stray pencil mark below stamp (just barely affects bottom
right corner); envelope backflap has Palace Hotel crest with expo
logo. Nice example of this station machine. |
