1894 registered cover with pair of 6 cent small banknotes (#224),
both
tied with New York registry ovals, assorted other markings, preprinted
cover to noted stamp dealer Hiram Deats; Nassau Stamp Co. on back
flap. Stamps are just clear of perfs at bottom but have beautiful
color and impression. A very pretty cover and a nice usage to pay
this

1926 usage of the 5 cent Lexington-Concord commem (Scott #619) on a
domestic registered cover, along with 4 1-cent Washington-Franklins and
a 12 -cent 4th bureau issue, all tied by West Newbury, MA boxed
markings. Some toning at left that is substantially more
prominent in
the scan than on direct view, with a hunk missing at lower left and a
bit at upper right. Uncommon domestic usage of this stamp. |
