#249 1841 "attached rate" handstamp from Greenwich, NY; "G" poorly struck, with 10 cent rate to Albany.  One page of mundane letter content, a few small edge tears at bottom; light file fold.  Pretty example of this type of device and scarce pre-1845 rate handstamp.
$35
#243
Unusual 1864 incoming ship letter received at New York and sent on to Boston, New York double circle marking, "due 6" for unpaid ship letter in manuscript.  Reverse has bold "received at Boston" marking; a left of roughness at left.
$25
#227
Nice incoming stampless from Germany to Green Bay, Wisconsin, bold Hamburg Packet marking and a weaker New York City "US Notes" Hamburg Packet 15/22 marking; Mainz and Bremen markings on reverse.  Cover is toned and soiled and with a small bite at upper right and water stain at lower left.  No year dates but mid 1860s.
$50
#274
Beautiful 1894 registered cover with pair of  6 cent small banknotes (#224), both tied with New York registry ovals, assorted other markings, preprinted cover to noted stamp dealer Hiram Deats; Nassau Stamp Co. on back flap.  Stamps are just clear of perfs at bottom but have beautiful color and impression.  A very pretty cover and a nice usage to pay this rate.
$40
#254 Nice TRAVELING POSTMASTER FRANK; buff cover (no letter content), pencil docketing of 1850, Utica blue oval, well struck, with free frank of the postmaster of Wimurt, New York (Herkimer Cty.  1839-40,  1844-57, and 1874-1919).   Interesting item from this  presumably scarce small post office; traveling franks are scarce as well.
