Pretty June 30, 1851 Blandford
MA CDS and bold "5" rate handstamp on SFL to Cannan NY with personal
content, some bleaching to the blue paper and a small edge tear at
top. Last day of 1845 rates prior to July 1, 1851 rate change;
though of course the 5 cent unpaid rate did not actually change between
those periods.

Gone postal? M.O. Business
penalty envelope, legal size, from Boston with 1898 flag ancel to
Greenville, New Hampshire. The Greenville PM struck the cover 8
times with his receiver -- and then for good measure 11 more times on
the reverse! A few wrinklikes and markings from what may have
been rubber bands, but a most interesting item nonetheless.

Unusual
1913 ad cover from Grafton MA, showing J. Frank Donahue, a dealer in
cattle, horses, carriages and harness. Rather than his goods, Mr.
Donahue elected to show "himself". Addressed to the John Deere
Co. at
Syracuse; also unusual is the Grafton Cummins machine cancel; seldom
seen on interesting advertising covers.
