no year date but presumably early 1840s and in any event 1844 or
earlier; 18 3/4 cent rate, red Boston CDS and "steam" marking; New York
letter dateline (1 page nicely written letter between female
friends). nice coastal steamer marking.

Steamship 10 marking (probably originating from Cuba), incoming to
Boston, 1863, with "thimble" Boston receiver. A bit rough at
left, but still a cute little thing.

circle marking, "due 6" for unpaid ship letter in manuscript.
Reverse has bold "received at Boston" marking; a left of roughness at
left.

Germany to Green Bay, Wisconsin, bold Hamburg Packet marking and a
weaker New York City "US Notes" Hamburg Packet 15/22 marking; Mainz and
Bremen markings on reverse. Cover is toned and soiled and with a
small bite at upper right and water stain at lower left. No year
dates but mid 1860s.
